Side Quest Internship
Side Quest - 2025 (Graphic Design), (UI Design)
OVERVIEW
Side Quest was a now-defunct location-based social app that encouraged users to explore real world places and earn points or rewards for visiting them. The app combined social interaction and gamified experiences, motivating users to discover new locations while connecting with friends. During my internship, I worked on UX/UI design, interactive prototypes, and user flows, helping to make the app engaging, intuitive, and visually appealing before it was sunsetted.
During my internship at Side Quest, I focused on designing a web UI. I created high-fidelity wireframes and UI components in Figma, built interactive prototypes, and refined user flows to improve usability and consistency. This experience strengthened my skills in layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy while giving me hands-on experience in creating cohesive, user-friendly web interfaces.
For my first iterations, I focused on exploring layout, structure, and user flow for a web UI. I created early wireframes and UI components in Figma, testing different ideas for usability and hierarchy. These initial designs helped me identify strengths and weaknesses in the interface and set the foundation for refining the project in later stages. This process gave me hands-on experience in experimenting with design solutions and thinking critically about user experience from the ground up.
